Having proper manners when it comes to the narrations of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.
Al-'Allāmah Shaykh Sālih bin Fawzān al-Fawzān (May Allah preserve him) said:
It is a must that we adorn ourselves with the proper manners when it comes to the narrations of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. Imam ibn al-Qayyim drew attention to the fact that when the student of knowledge is present in a gathering in which the Hadeeth of Messenger of Allāh ﷺ are narrated, he should adorn himself with the proper manners as if the Messenger ﷺ is present. This is because respect of the narrations of the Messenger is from having veneration of him ﷺ (himself). And having veneration of the Messenger ﷺ and honoring him is from having reverence of Allāh (the Mighty and Majestic).
Allāh (the Most High) said:*
"8.Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad ) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. 9. In order that you (O mankind) may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that you assist and honor him, and (that you) glorify (Allah's) praises morning and afternoon.."
